"What made you try Track and XC?"
"What got me into track and cross country was my passion for running. In middle school my p.e. teacher would always compliment my running, I thought I was alright not the best though. For my freshmen and sophomore year I joined track as a sprinter but in junior year a distance runner, overall I fell in love with it! The atmosphere of creating new friendships and getting advice from the coaches to help me be faster made me love it! During the summer of going into junior year my friends and I were convinced to try out cross country. At first I was a bit scared to join this sport because i was never into running for long distances but with plenty of practices that included hard workouts and fun runs I fell in love with it. Like track the cross country atmosphere was so positive and more friendlier which helped me create some of the closest friendships I have today. Overall the reason why I joined track and cross country was because I had a passion for running which will stick with me to the future and meeting new people and creating new bonds!"
